Die Nasionale Wolkwekers Vereniging se kommunale streekkongresse is goed bygewoon. Die boere in die vier streke wat die Amatola, Oliver Tambo, Chris Hani , Alfred Nzo en Ukwahlamba distrik munisipaliteite insluit, versoek die regering dringend om op veral veediefstal en probleemdierbeheer te konsentreer. Die munisipaliteite is ook versoek om wetgewing in te stel oor skadelike onkruid soos boetebos wat nou probleme in die gebiede veroorsaak.

The large-scale introduction of superior rams to wool farming communities is one leg of the larger project and in its 5th year of existence.  To date, more than 12 800 rams have been distributed to the communal areas of the Transkei and Ciskei.  The NWGA is confident of the project's success, adding significant value to communal wool farmers in the former Transkei and Ciskei.
